Sunday Stash #6

I came late to the party of Tula Pink.  Better late than never, right?  One of my favorites of hers is Prince Charming.  Fortunately, there was Prince Charming fabric still being sold -on sale even- when I came to the party (or is it par-tay?!  Which  totally coincided with the release of this book from Tula Pink City Sampler: 100 Modern Quilt Blocks.).  I already had some yardage but really boosted my stash with IG #thegreatfabricdestash.

I am going to make this quilt with my stash FreeSpirit Prince Charming Quilt.  Now that I have enough fabric.  Instead of using Turtle Bay as the sashing, I plan on using Michael Miller's Cotton Couture in Vanilla.

Sunday Stash #4

In May of 2013, I made a quilt with Tula Pink's Salt Water charm packs (Fair Winds and Following Seas).  This one was made with 2 charm packs, some vanilla couture cotton solid, and quilted on my regular sewing machine.  I loved the quilt, wanted to keep it, but gave it away.

Fast forward to #thegreatfabricdestash  - I bet you know already what Sunday Stash #4 is.

Yes, Salt Water fat quarters, yardage and solids!  This quilt I will keep!  For ME!  Bwaaaahaaaaa!

The blues:

The navy Seaweed and Submarines is one of my most favorite!  Got lots of yardage in that.

The greens:

The corals:

Gorgeous!  The solids are from Hawthorne Threads.

I plan on making this quilt, Ballerina, by Jaybird Quilts. Can't wait to get started but I have a few other projects I really need to finish up.  Things are getting crossed off my list of FAL's.  Whoo hoo!

Linking up now to Kate Quilts who is hosting the Sunday Stash this week for Molli Sparkles.  Thanks Kate!  Wonder if Molli got some great fabric from Japan?

Super Bowl Sunday Stash #3

The Super Bowl of fabric destashing (and stashing!) is on Instagram #thegreatfabricdestash.  I am not sure if I love or hate the brain child that came up with this.   Just kidding, but seriously!

One of my all time fabric lines is Pop Garden/Bijoux by Heather Bailey.  I have quite the stash already.  I've made 5 quilts (one was doll sized), two crib mattress covers and chair pads from that line.  As you can see on my blog photo, my white kitty likes it, too.

When I saw this stash listed on #thegreatfabricdestash, it had to be mine!

The print right there in the center, oh yes!!  I have looked and looked but couldn't find.  And now I have it!  Bwaaahhaaaaaa!  (Um, fabric addict, maybe?)

In this stack that I got from Sara are a couple by Bonnie and Camille, Kate Spain (Verna) and the ones from Heather Bailey.  I already have a good sized stash of Heather Bailey.  I won't part with it.  Right now, I have no plans for it either.  I do take it out of the shelf and pet it from time to time.  (See above.)

Here is a pic of a quilt I made for my daughter on request about 2 1/2 years ago.  I made it before I had heard that curved piecing might be out of my league.  The quilting is my own done freehand on a Janome Horizon and a Project Runway Brother.

No, not a Super Bowl fan.  I will watch the commercials, though.  I will be hand sewing binding on another quilt I finished while the game is on.

Happy Groundhog Day!  I've heard we'll have 6 more weeks of winter sewing here. Linking up to Molli Sparkles!

Sunday Stash #2

Did you participate in the #thegreatfabricdestash on Instagram?  Did anyone else wake up the next morning with a fabric binge hangover or was that just me?  Just checked, it is still going on!  In fact, there is a FQ bundle of Anna Marie Horner True Colors that just might be calling my name...  I am a big fan of Heather Bailey's.  I have quite a stash of her fabrics.  Yes, I found some more.  Tula Pink is another one that I love.  But TP fabric went fast and for top dollar!  Talk about an investment!

Well for my Sunday Stash #2, I am going to share the charm packs that I received yesterday from #thegreatfabricdestash.  4 are from another big favorite of mine, Kate Spain.  The other 4 are adorable and will make a wonderful quilt to donate for auction at our annual Fur Ball that benefits homeless pets.

Yes, I scoured the internet and found yardage to go with these!  Whooohooo!  Then, my dear friend Jessica sent me this link:  Freckled Whimsy Charm Pack Quilt Along.  Check it out!

Linking up now with Molli Sparkles!  Happy Sunday!
