First Finishes of '15

Today just happens to be Finish it Up Friday!  I have a few finishes to share.

First off, my very first finished quilt top~

This one is Kate Spain's Sunnyside and Bella solids HST quilt.  I have been wanting to make this one for quite some time.  I love playing around with HST's but they do take a while to square up - even with my Loc Bloc.

My trimmings.

Next up is a big finish.  And I do mean BIG!  A flannel quilt 116" x 120" for our bed.  I made pillows, pillow cases and shams to match.  Now this was an simple, easy quilt.  But that is what I wanted.  Handling the size made it difficult.

It has been washed and dried in this picture and I am impressed with the quality of the flannel.  The reds did not bleed at all.  The fabric is Bonnie and Camille's Miss Kate.

I also got two mini quilt tops done this week.

The first one is to hang at the office for the upcoming month.  I used this free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop called Color My Heart.  The "love" was paper pieced using a pattern from Kim Noblin of Block Central.  Of course, my white kitty was helping out by laying on top of the sewing machine. Silly cat!

The second mini if for the IG #rainbowminiswap.  I am on #rainbowteampurple.  This one has been a challenge as it is intricate and took me some time.  It has lots of different fabrics from my stash.  And a few I just HAD to buy.  The pattern is Geese Crossing by Three Owls Handmade.

Oh I hope my partner likes it!  Tomorrow is work out and quilting mini day.

2014 Recap of Finishes

I have a lot of finishes for 2014 to share.  Seriously, I had no idea that I had made so many.  I knew I had been busy, but wow!  It took me quite a while to get all the photos together and in one spot on my computer.  Here goes:

Minis:

Made with a Tula Pink Nest charm pack, this one was for Jessica.

This one was a kit from Sew Lux Fabric. It hangs in my sewing room.

An easy peasy 4th of July quilted panel.  This one was for the 4th of July.  It is at my work.

This was made for my IGMiniSwap partner.  I love me some Cotton and Steel!

Made with a Pot Luck mini and a panel, this mini hangs on the door into my long arm quilting studio.

This one was made from a charm pack of Anna Maria Horner fabrics and scraps.  It has been quilted and hangs on the wall in my sewing room.

This mini of Bonnie and Camille's Happy Go Lucky was made to hang at work.

This was a kit from Fat Quarter Shop.  I made this one for work, too.  (Yes, that is a tattoo on my toe, and no, it didn't hurt - that much, anyway.)

This mini was jointly made by me and Jessica as Angels for the IGMini Swap.

There is one from Connecting Threads of fish being chased by a shark that I made for the office but have no picture of.  Another one of a Christmas wreath made with a Solstice mini is not quilted and therefor isn't a finish.  So that makes 10, yes 10, minis made in 2014!

(No wonder I have had no time to blog and link up with FAL's!)

Small projects finished:

Zipper pouch for my mini clips.

Glimma Table Topper

Noodlehead Super Tote with Melody Miller!

A Christmas Tree skirt - because we had 2 Christmas trees this year.  SMH.

A zipper pouch for my IGMini Swap partner!
 Lots of pillows and shams.

Miss Kate Flannel pillow cases.

 A Glimma table runner.

 A dress for my Granddaughter.

 Two Sit and Sew thingys.

A cool Tula Pink drawstring bag for my Granddaughter.

And 3 voile infinity scarves.

(I am beginning to question my sanity at this point.)

And for the grand finale, the QUILTS!  These are just the completely finished ones.  I have several that are waiting to be quilted.  And a few more that need to be pieced together and finished.  They will continue to wait.

The finished Quilts of 2014:

This kitty quilt now resides with my SIL in Columbia.  Lizzy House Cat Nap fabrics.

These are blocks made by members of the CCMQG and put together by me.  Bright and cheery!

This Anna Maria Horner and linen quilt now lives on our king size bed.  I also made some flannel pillow cases to match.  It has been washed and dried so many times!  I love it!
This quilt now belongs to a great niece of mine that lives in Utah.  The fabric is A Beautiful Thing by Riley Blake.

Tula Pink Fox Field Fabric and Space Dust quilt!  This was a Space Dust paper piecing QAL on IG.  This quilt lives upstairs in my long arm quilting studio.

This quilt now belongs to a beautiful baby girl!

This quilt was my first ever disappearing 9 patch.  The fabric is Eat your Fruits and Vegtables - I think.

This is by far my least fav quilt ever.  Because of my fabric choices.  I just don't like it.

Oh, I do love this quilt!  Made with Katie Bird and Paper Co. Bluebird Park fabric.  I gave this to my DH for Valentine's Day.

This is a Lazy Sunday Afternoon quilt (pattern by May Chappell) and the fabrics are Noteworthy by Sweetwater.

Lil Monster quilt made on consignment for a sweet baby boy.  Fabrics by Camelot.

The pattern is Ballerina by Jaybird Quilts and the fabric is Modern Bliss.  This quilt lives in my sewing room on my futon.

I donated this quilt for Pals for Paws to raffle off.  The quilt made $250.00 for the non profit.

This was a Tula Pink Mystery Quilt on Craftsy.  I love this quilt!
Another Craftsy quilt along from 2013 that was finished in 2014.  The orange backing shows through the batting (warm and white).  I like the quilt other than that.

April Showers quilt in the pattern Layer Cake by Bonny and Camille.

 Another Baby Girl quilt!

Frozen quilt made on consignment for a sweet girl.

Hop Skip and Jump quilt finished in the QAL with Sew Lux Fabric.

Fell in love with Vintage Quilt Revival and made this queen size quilt.

Another Frozen quilt - this one is for my Granddaughter.

This is our CCMQG raffle quilt. The drawing for it was yesterday.  We raised $313. for the Carteret County Humane Society.  The fabrics are Tula Pink's Salt Water.

First tie quilt I was commissioned to make.

2nd tie quilt I was commissioned to make.

Disappearing Hourglass quilt made and gifted to my nephew for Christmas.

Butterfly Garden baby girl quilt made for a coworker.
Rudolph Quilt made for my DH.  I love Rudolph!

This Glimma quilt is so close to being finished, I am calling it!

In 2015, I have goals to blog more often, exercise more, and to sew up the fabric in my stash.  You know, the usual ones.

2014 has certainly been a good, productive year!  Here's to 2015!
