Finished Friday Infinity Scarf

While my BFF Jessica and I were organizing my sewing room, she came across some voile fabric from Connecting Threads.  (Come on, I can't be the only one that forgets fabric stashes!)  I had the fabric left over from making a quilt and want to use it to make infinity scarves.

Well, guess what e-mail I got from Jessica that Monday?  Uh huh, you guessed it.  This one from Pink Chalk Fabrics for infinity scarves.  It is free!

My completed project for today is an infinity scarf that I made for Jessica. Her Birthday is on Sunday.  And yes, she knows about this because I asked her to pick the colors.  (I didn't have much time to sew today because a niece is coming to stay with us for the weekend.  This took about an hour to make.)

Instead of hand stitching the opening closed, I top stitched close to the edges. (I don't like hand stitching.  I avoid it like the plague, except binding.  I like the look of hand stitched binding.)

I can see more of these in my future!  An easy pattern.  It will make a great gift.  Spring weather is coming - really it is!  Lots of gorgeous voile and lawn fabrics to make this with.  Tula Pink, Liberty of London, Amy Butler fabrics just to name a few.

  2. Beautiful job. I made an infinity scarf out of that cream and grey print for my daughter. So soft too.
