WIP Acacia Vintage Quilt Top
This is one quilt that is turning out as I had hoped. It isn't too hard to screw up with Tula Pink and Vintage Quilt Revival! I am really enjoying this one, paper piecing and all. I want this for our guest bedroom, so I am going to add borders to make it queen size. I plan on making pillows and shams with the leftover Acacia fabric. And how to quilt this one?? Ideas welcome!

WIP Vintage Quilt Revival & Paper Piecing Wednesday
For my WIP Wednesday, I have a couple of WIP's. This week's blocks for the Vintage Quilt Revival are the Classic Rolling Squares Block:
And the Red Cross Block:
Okay, these two blocks were tricky for me. The paper piecing was okay but joining all the pieces together and getting points to match was, ummmm, well...let's just say there was some quality time spent with my seam ripper.
I haven't done a whole lot of paper piecing and this is a great way to get more experience.
It has been a long day! Linking up with Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday.
And the Red Cross Block:
I am also working on a mini quilt with the Classic Geometric Block. I am using Over the Rainbow batiks for this one. There will be two more blocks.

Week #4 Vintage Quilt Revival Block Along
So far, I am keeping up with the Vintage Quilt Revival Block Along with Amy over at Sukie Don't Ya Know. This weeks blocks were paper pieced.

Yes, those points in the center were a little tricky!

And yes, those points in the center were tricky on this one, too! Not perfect on this one. Is it enough to be a RE-DO, though? I mean, on a galloping horse, no. But...I don't look at quilts on a galloping horse. I don't even own a horse.
Here is a picture of all the blocks together. I am thinking some more of the warmer colors in the Acacia line need to be incorporated.

Architextures Tula Pink Style and other Blocks
Another cold, rainy day here, which makes for an inside sewing day. One of my carry overs from 3 & 4Q are the 100 Modern Quilt Blocks. In a fit of indecision and insanity I decided to do TWO different sets of blocks. One in Tula Pink's Sampler fabrics and the other from a FQ bundle of Architextures fabrics along with matching solids.
As of today, I have 40 blocks in Architextures and need another 24 to make the quilt I want (Trellis). (My photo isn't the best, and my design wall isn't either.) The layout is subject to change. You get the idea.
I signed up with Intrepid Thread to do the Gypsy Wife BOM in the calm color way. I have admired the Gypsy Wife quilt pattern but was not motivated enough to do it by myself. Then Jessica let me know about the Gypsy Wife BOM over at Intrepid Thread. (Here is the sign up link: Gypsy Wife BOM.) Here is my first block:
Ummmmm, I love this!
I also signed up to do the BOW (2 blocks per week) for the Vintage Quilt Revival with Sukie Don't Ya Know. We are on week #3. Here are my 6 blocks.
Lots of stuff going on here! Getting caught up and working on my FAL's. Linking up now to Lily's Quilts Fresh Sewing Day.
Happy Saturday!

I LOVE the book! So glad that I got one of the copies that has been autographed by the three authors! If you don't have the book, I recommend it highly. Having fun with my Tula Pink Acacia fabric.
Last but certainly not least, finished up this month's (month 9 already!) block for the Hop Skip Jump BOM. Using my Happy Go Lucky FQ's by Bonnie and Camille for this one.
Happy Saturday!

Vintage Blocks Week #2
It is hard to believe that we are already on week #2! January has flown by! The cold, icy and snowy weather has kept me (and pretty much everyone else) indoors the past two days. Snow day = sew day! Whoohoo! Got a lot of sewing done and several finishes to post.
But right now, I am going to post pictures of the two Vintage Quilt Revival Blocks for week #2. The first one is Classic Mosaic No. 19 Block:

Vintage Blocks Week #1
I have been wondering what to do with my Tula Pink Acacia stash for awhile. When I got the book Vintage Quilt Revival I knew I wanted to make a quilt in the book with Acacia. And then I saw that Sukie - Don't You Know Who I Am? was hosting a quilt along for the sampler quilt! Yay!
Here are my blocks-

I liked the stack of colors for the first block but not so sure about how the block turned out. I may redo.
Of course I had to fussy cut to get the raccoon in!
Linking up now with Sukie! Have a great day!
